Learning Support  Assistant (Level 2) and Lunchtime Controller (fixed term contract until the end of July 2019)

 

Required from November 2018

 

LSA – 24.3 hours per week

Monday to Friday 8.55-12.05 and 1.35-3.20 (1.50-3.20 Fridays)

Actual salary range £9,112 - £9,928

And

Lunchtime Controller - 5 hours 15 mins per week

Monday to Friday 12.05 until 1.05pm (1.20pm on Fridays)

Actual salary range £1,966 - £2,027

 We currently have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant to join our committed and highly professional team and we would ideally like the same person to join our lunchtime team.

The post would involve supporting an individual child with an Education Health and Care Plan who has behavioural difficulties: providing individualised support, whilst encouraging independence; working closely with the class teacher. It might also involve supporting individual children with their learning, whilst helping them to work independently; administrative work within the classroom including displays, filing and some marking. The lunchtime role would involve supporting children to have an enjoyable and happy lunchtime.

You will need to demonstrate a caring attitude, flexibility, resilience and be able to demonstrate an ability to deal sensitively in difficult situations.  Good skills in English and Maths are essential to the post.
