Spelling focus - words ending in -ible and -able
Use the online activities to practise spelling words ending in -ible -ibly -able -ably
To identify and use different types of figurative language
Use the PPT in resources to find out about different types of figurative language. Then use the worksheet to identify different types of figurative language used in poetry.
To identify figurative language in texts
Using the poetry extracts in resources identify different types of figurative language. You could print them out and highlight in different colours or make a table and write ideas for each section e.g. similes, personification.
Drawing similes and metaphors
Use the worksheet to apply what you know about similes and metaphors. You can make some of your own too. Have fun!
