The school expects high standards of both work and appearance. We believe children should come to school dressed smartly, so that they feel ready for work and can develop a sense of self-esteem. All children are therefore encouraged to wear suitable clothes in our school colours, and we seek parents’ co-operation in this matter.
The school uniform is a bottle green sweatshirt or cardigan with the St Nicolas logo, with a gold polo shirt (preferably one with the St Nicolas logo). Trousers, skirts, shorts, pinafores and tights must be grey. Green and white gingham dresses can be worn during the summer months. Footwear should be black proper shoes or black trainers. Sandals may be worn in the summer months. As part of our focus on smartness and for health and safety reasons, long hair must be tied back with green or yellow simple ties and polo shirts should be tucked in at all times. Children are not allowed to wear nail varnish.
